In case you haven't heard as yet, Steven Tyler has most likely quit Aerosmith or so it would appear.

Although Steven has not definitively state that he was quitting the band, Joe Perry, the band's co-founder and lead guitarist, apparently interpreted things Steven has said in the press lately as such. Joe told the Las Vegas Sun last week: "Steven quit, as far as I can tell." and considering how long they have known eachother Joe can probably tell alot...

We are currently working on getting ahold of our sources close to the Boys from Boston and if we get anything new or of interest we will pass it along...

But, if the news is for real... and we have no reason to doubt Joe Perry... then I guess it is what it is... I for one will just treasure my autograph and passes even more and remember Steven as he was when I met him, warm, wonderful, kind and just oozing with charisma... not as an arrogant fuck who can't tell his band mates he needs to move along and concentrate on "Brand Tyler"... here is a hint Steven- the 20 somethings don't care... this isn't a career move, its a disaster of a mistake you are making... I dunno who is feeding your head with BS but you really need to go talk to Joe... if either you or what is left of Aerosmith put out a disc like "Rock in a Hardplace" again- I think most of the fan base will be inclined to abandon ship in droves...

No Steven... this is NOT OK...Whatever happened to loyalty to ones friends and fans who have been loyal to you for decades?

So there is the news and my commentary ( which I hadn't intended on writing) on the whole thing- as a life long Aerosmith fan, and a huge fan of Mr. Steven Victor Tallerico a/k/a Tyler- I am kinda annoyed and think it is really fucked up to pull this kinda shit on your band mates and your fans... I, for one, will not be supporting "brand Tyler".... and if it is indeed true that ship Aerosmith has landed for good- well... thanks for alot of good music guys... what more can we say?
