Jin the eMCee does it again!!! This time he'd doing it in his native tongue, Cantonese!!!

His latest CD, "ABC" (American Born Chinese) is outstanding and not only does he bring back Chinese culture but he does it in a hip hop fashion. I must say this will definitely be a big hit among Asian Americans and quite possibly with the rest of America as well!  It is just THAT GOOD!

I believe this is the first time that an Asian American Emcee raps in his native tongue AND has a release in the USA. This disc is truly an inspiration to all music industries around the world. Even though the CD itself is almost entirely in Cantonese, the beats make it a most enjoyable one. For those who cannot understand the lyrics, they are translated so you could follow the song from start to finish. Speaking as an ABC myself, I think the CD relates back to how the modern Chinese people act in the US. The CD also provides a biography of Jin's life and goals ahead. It may sound pretty cocky but it goes with the song. I would have suggested he use some other issues to rap about as well but yannoe, it's JIN, so what can I say It's great!

I would definitely suggest this CD to any Chinese American out there- or non Chinese as well! The lyrics are a jam to listen to when you understand the language ( and even if you don't-ed.). I must say this is the best Cantonese hip hip I have listend to since "LMF". It uses simple Chinese which makes it very easy to listen to so there should be no problems understanding what Jin is trying to speak out. If you aren't Chinese, I would say listen to a sample on "YouTube" or MTV CHI's website (the video for the song "ABC" can be found in both places) and see how it flows for you- if it does then-BUY IT!

This is very different than what Jin has done with his music in the past and I am sure there will be those who complain that it isn't in English. Although it doesn't involve 'thug life', it sure relates to Asian American culture and perhaps one could learn a bit from that too! Over all, this disc I think will be warmly welcomed by Jin's audience, no matter what their culture or race. I really enjoyed it-It is just THAT AMAZING! KEEP IT UP JIN!!
